On September 9, 2025, Consumers National Bank celebrated its 60th year in business, founded by a group of businessmen in 1965 in Minerva, Ohio. More than 350 people came to the event in downtown Canton, Ohio — so many that employees’ spouses couldn’t attend. I was invited to speak, along with directors and executives from the bank as well as the president of the Ohio Bankers League. These are folks with a deep passion for community banking — a passion we share.
